Report shows that the Bandai Namco Company had revenue of ¥575.5 billion, equal to $5.04 billion, translated into the gaming subsidiary the sum that they conveyed is $2.81 billion. They developed some of the most popular gaming titles such as the Naruto series, Tekken and Soulcalibur, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and the Dark Souls series … all of which brought them lots of financial benefits.
Activision Blizzard – $16.29 Billion
In 2008, Activision and Blizzard Entertainment merged together to become a giant video game powerhouse which they opted for a different tactic of creating strategy adventure games, and introduced LAN multiplayer games with popular games sucj as Call of Duty, Warcraft, and Starcraft.
Sony Computer Entertainment – $17.49 Billion
Sony is known for producing many different entertainment products such as game console, PlayStation, which place the second on the list of items bringing highest revenue, at the same time, maintains a high position in the video game industry. Their online gaming network and games have been competed against Microsoft Studios for years.
Microsoft Studios – $37.2billion
Microsoft Studios is the leading video game corp which is mostly known as the maker of Windows; then Microsoft entered the gaming industry as a newbie. However, since their first move of launching Xbox, they have become a tough competition with Xbox gained continuous success with its games, leaving Sony behind by a huge margin.
The gaming industry is becoming more and more lucrative, having a total revenue of $99.6 billion registered in 2016 with a total of over 2.3 billion active players.
